1. The Brickyard
A truly locally inspired steak house right around the corner. Chef Drew Leger was born and raised in Idaho and attended BSU culinary arts school and worked in several prestigious restaurants here in the northwest.
Since 2011 Drew has been cooking at the Brickyard. You will love this downtown Boise steakhouse, its at the top of my list and always a good value and dining experience.

2. Barbacoa
Barbacoa is by far one of Boise’s best steak houses. Their famous “Hot Rock” filet will blow you out of the water and leave you wondering what just hit you.
The restaurant is a multi-dimensional concept that drives the imagination wild with delicious art and food, you wont find anything like this place in Boise. This is truly one of a kind and is my regular spot when I want steak for dinner.

3. Ruth’s Chris Steak House
Always a good spot for great steaks in Boise. Ruth’s Chris has a tradition of serving the best steaks and surf and turf.
This is an excellent date night spot or place to bring your out of town guests. You cant go wrong at Ruth’s Chris. Enjoy!

4. Chandlers
Since 1994 Chandlers has been locally owned in Boise and is known as an upscale dinner house.
Specializing prime steaks, premium craft cocktails and seafood, it’s Boise’s only restaurant recommended by Forbes Travel Guide. Quality!!

5. Longhorn
As the name indicates, these guys are all about the Beef. This Boise steakhouse is truly passionate about service only serves the best beef around.
They have a signature and seasoning spice you wont find anywhere else. This makes their steaks truly unique.

6. Texas Roadhouse
Started in 1993, Clarksville Indiana, Texas Roadhouse has established itself as a staple for steak dinner and good American influenced comfort food.
Known for their legendary hand cut steaks, made from scratch sides and fall off the bone ribs, this place will keep you coming back for more. The Roadhouse is a fantastic family place, be sure you don’t miss their rolls, they’ll change your life.

7. Owyhee Tavern
This steak and seafood house offers a casual fine dining experience and is known for their excellent service. Look for exceptional nightly chef creations paired with their specialty craft cocktails.
Owyhee has one of the best happy hours in the city and have and extensive list of local wine and beers to pair with their delicious food. You will love this place.

8. Cottonwood Grill
This lovely Boise steakhouse is one of my favorite date night spots. Their food is both traditional, creative and always the highest quality. Delicious steaks and seafood dishes keep me coming back for more.
Their dining room is cozy and feels homey, featuring a huge hearth with a wood fire to give you that lodge feeling of mountain living. This place is for sure a classic steak house.

9. Tavern at Bown Crossing
This is a true neighborhood steak house. Nestled in quaint Bown Crossing located in East Boise, it is well known for its excellent cuts of meat and exceptional preparation and presentation.
You will find something for everyone at The Tavern, the have prime grade steaks, sushi, daily seafood specials. You will also find delicious burgers sandwiches and salads for the light eaters.

The stagecoach is a piece of Boise history and they make some of the best steak and comfort food I have had.
